STAR
VOLUNTEERS

The success of our productions is attributed to every single volunteer that contributes their time and energy for us. Here at Stage 212, not only do volunteers help behind the scenes during the production process, but they also help us tremendously at the front of house on show nights as well. Check out this page for more information about how to volunteer at Stage 212!

Behind the Scenes
Volunteers

Want to get involved with theatre without being in front of an audience? We have a wide variety of opportunities for folks to help us behind the scenes. We want to embrace all creative talents our community has within our productions. Below are the roles and tasks in the creative areas that we seek volunteers for.

Not every production is going to need someone to cover every single one of these tasks, and some productions might require something new! That's the beauty of live theatre, so be sure to get on our volunteer roster to find your best fit!

Front of House
Volunteers

Are you good with people? Do you enjoy providing a hospitable and welcoming experience to patrons? If so, we would love to have you join us on our show nights! We do have a few requirements for our Front of House Volunteers, but there are also some special benefits!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Volunteers must be on our Star Volunteer list to receive notices for performance sign-ups.

  • Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

  • Volunteers must be scheduled in advance with our Volunteer Coordinators.

  • Volunteers must be dressed appropriately (no jeans, shorts, flip-flops, sweats or t-shirts).

  • First-time volunteers must arrive one hour prior to curtain time, other volunteers must arrive 45 minutes prior.

  • Volunteers must be courteous to our patrons at all times.

  • Ushers must stay to help tidy up the auditorium after the performance.

BENEFITS

Volunteers will be allowed to view the performance free of charge. Please be aware that at the discretion of the House Manager, volunteers will be seated in the auditorium if seats are available. Otherwise, volunteers will be seated in our upstairs viewing area known as the "Red Room." It's red!

Some of our front of house duties include:

House Managers

The folks in charge. These veteran volunteers oversee the front of house and designate the responsibilities for our ushers.

Concessions

Who doesn't love a snack or drink at intermission? Our folks at the bar provide our patrons with delicious beverages and snacks.

Ushers

These folks are responsible for welcoming our patrons. Ushers help guide patrons to their seats and other building facilities.

Raffles & Fundraisers

It takes a lot of funding to keep our organization running. These volunteers help promote our ongoing fundraisers for Stage 212.

We hold informational meetings for our Star Volunteers about every other month. To get more information about these meetings and/or about being a volunteer, please fill out the form below!
